Vivo v5 and Vivo v5pro
Vivo V25 and V25 Pro officially announced
Today, Vivo held an event where two impressive new mid-rangers were introduced: the Vivo V25 and Vivo V25 Pro. The former features a 50MP selfie camera with AF, while the latter features a 6nm chipset, 64MP main cam, and other flagship-level specs.
Biological V25
Vanilla variants run on Density 900 with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM. In addition, both memory variants can be expanded with an additional 8 GB storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB.
The screen is a 6.44-inch AMOLED, but the fingerprint scanner is on the side and embedded in the power key. It has HDR 10+ support, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 1080p resolution.
The best Vivo V25 series targets young people who like vlogging and photography. So Vanilla's phone features his 64 MP main shooter with OIS, 8 MP ultra-wide cam, and 2 MP macro cam. The selfie cam is 50MP and has a lot of AI algorithms to make objects appear sharper.
This smartphone is a global version with Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12. The Vivo V25's battery is 4,500 mAh and supports 44W FlashCharge.
Other specs include dual-mode 5G, the latest Wi-Fi standard, Bluetooth 5.2, and a lightweight body of 186 grams.
The back panel comes in three colors - Aquamarine Blue, Sunrise Gold, and Diamond Black - and all three have Fluorite AG glass, but only the first two change color like its predecessor, the Vivo V23...

Vivo V25 Pro
The main camera setup remains the same as its non-Pro siblings. 64 MP main with OIS (and EIS), 8 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro. However, the selfie shooter has been downgraded to 32 MP while maintaining the autofocus capabilities.
The Vivo V25 Pro also comes with Funtouch OS 12 and all the latest and greatest connectivity options, including all major 5G bands. Regarding software, Vivo has fancy features like Super Night Video and Vlog Movie, allowing users to shoot better videos for their social media accounts.
Compared to the Vivo V25, the phone is slightly larger and heavier and comes with a 4,830 mAh battery and 66W of FlashCharge.
Again, both blue and black color options use Fluorite AG glass, but only the first color option can change its appearance under UV light and direct sunlight.
The 8/128 GB option is INR35,999 (approximately $450) while the 12/256 GB is INR39,999 (approximately $500). Pre-orders begin today, August 17th, with availability scheduled for Thursday, August 25th.
